West Village Condominium
A second home on 11th Street, conceived as a serene extension of its owner’s Scandinavian heritage.
Her residence in Stockholm inspired an approach that harmonizes Nordic simplicity with the charm of pre-war New York architecture.
The design reimagines a compact layout through craftsmanship and intentional detailing. Custom wainscoting in the living room and bedroom adds depth and quiet sophistication. A concealed bookshelf door leads to the closet, a playful and seamless architectural moment. The original creaky floors were replaced with oak, bringing warmth and continuity throughout.
The photography captures what defines the home: understated textures, warm daylight, and stillness.
