California Mountain Home
A mountain home redecorated around the client’s own collection, with luxury pieces chosen to complement the art they already loved.
The client came with a wish list of luxury pieces and a collection they would never part with. Each new piece was chosen to sit alongside that collection, so the old and the new feel as though they have always belonged together.
The living room is anchored by a Kashmir rug that is more than 200 years old. Its deep reds and blues set the palette for the home, carried through the blue lounge chairs, the warm wood credenza, and the red deck beyond the glass.
A large modern painting rises above the fireplace in the double-height living room, and tall windows on every side fill the home with natural light and views of the surrounding forest.
