Meet Mazen…

Mazen Eshak, born in 1993 in Homs, Syria, is an interior designer based in New York City. At the age of four, he moved to Portland, Oregon with his mother, Marwa. It was during these early years in Portland that Mazen's passion for design began to flourish. His fascination with shapes, colors, and objects was evident even as a child. He would spend hours rearranging furniture and decorating spaces, captivated by how different elements could transform an environment. This early interest in aesthetics and luxury design set the foundation for his future career.

For many years Mazen worked with a clientele in Portland where his approach combined high-end design and luxury aesthetics with budget-friendly solutions. His expertise was in sourcing high-quality furniture, decor, and artwork from thrift stores, second-hand shops, and local vendors, creating cohesive and luxurious interiors on a budget.

In 2022, he moved to New York City with his cat, Egg, to continue his passion for design at Roche Bobois, where he had opportunity to work on larger projects in high-end luxury with many notable clients.

Among his latest significant undertakings, completed in May 2024, was a penthouse at the Four Seasons in Minneapolis, overlooking the city's skyline. This project, completed in under a month, demonstrated Mazen's ability to seamlessly blend texture, color, and classic designs into a cohesive and luxurious living space. His work on this penthouse not only garnered attention among his peers but also solidified his status as a designer capable of handling high-profile and demanding projects. This was one of countless larger projects in Mazen's portfolio, which expands to include modern lofts in Manhattan, family homes in the Hamptons, coastal retreats in Miami, and historic brownstones in Brooklyn. With the creation of Mazen Designs in June 2024, Mazen seeks to establish his designs, service, and brand further.

His journey from a self-taught designer to a professional continues to inspire, transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences for his clients.
